Description

An experiment in capturing a human likeness through abstraction and negative space. First, I sculpted the portrait bust of a woman, and bisected it along the Sagittal Plane (cut in half vertically, along the line of the nose). The resulting negative space was then filled with pigmented resin crystals to create an Amethyst-like geode. In this photo, it’s shown laying with its back to the ground.
